James Grady Trichell died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was 63.

Born in Monroe, Mr. Trichell lived in Vicksburg for 24 years before returning to Monroe in 1988. He retired as a lieutenant with the Vicksburg Fire Department after 24 years of service and from the maintenance department at All Saints' Episcopal School.

He was of the Pentecostal faith.

Mr. Trichell was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Trichell.

He is survived by two daughters, Gina Poticher of Vicksburg and Susie Stokes of Monroe; one son, Jimmy Trichell of Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Kathy Trichell Gilstrap and Dot Trichell Battaglia, both of Monroe; two brothers, Calvin Trichell of Marksville, La., and John Trichell of Vicksburg; five grandchildren; and friends, including Joan Berry of Winnsboro, La.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Welborn, pastor of Warrenton Independent Baptist Church, and Jack Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Phillips, Jessie Baker, Walter Beamon, Danny Davis, Sean Trichell and Robert Poticher.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Vicksburg Fire Department.
