John M. Trichell died Thursday, December 20, 2007, at his residence. He was 61. Born in Delhi, LA, he was the son of the late James Mathis Trichell and Organtra Mooney Trichell. He was a graduate of Tallulah High School. Mr. Trichell retired in 1982 from the Vicksburg Fire Department with the rank of captain with 13 years of service. At the time of his death he owned and operated John's Barber Shop. Mr. Trichell was a member of Bowmar Baptist Church.
He is survived by his Wife: Patricia R. Trichell, Vicksburg; a Daughter: Sheri T. Ghrigsby, Vicksburg; a son: Sean Mathis Trichell, Shreveport, LA; 4 Grandchildren: Sara Trichell, Ashton Ghrigsby, Josh Collins,Cami Ghrigsby ; 2 Sisters: Kathy Trichell Gilstrap, Monroe, LA, Dottie Trichell Battaglia, Columbia, LA, a Brother: Calvin T. Trichell, Marksville, LA.
He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Donald W. Trichell and James Grady Trichell.
Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue, Vicksburg, MS with Reverend John Rushing, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Tallulah, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery of Tallulah. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 PM at Riles Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Adia and Emma Brassard Fund for Schizencephaly, % River Hill Bank, 2125 North Frontage Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
Pallbearers will be Doug Upchurch, Peter Mims, George Lee, Martin Pace, Tommy Trichell, Jessie Baker, Claude King, Gene Perot and Donald Robinson,
Honorary Pallbearers will be friends and customers of John's Barber Shop.
