Graveside services for Gladys L. Achenbach, 87, were held May 24, at the Rawlins Cemetery in Rawlins, with Pastor Tim Tyler of the Douglas Baptist Church officiating.
Mrs. Achenbach died Friday, May 20, 1994, at Michael Manor in Douglas.
She was born May 5, 1907, in Onega, Kan., the daughter of Robert L. and Lucille (Fredenburg) Fithian. She enjoyed playing bridge, going to garage sales and collecting decorative eggs.
She is survived by her two children, Butch Achenbach of Yreka, Calif. and Jeanne Blessing of Santa Barbara, Calif.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry A. Achenbach; one daughter, Beverly Childress; one sister and two brothers.
Memorials to a choice of the donor would be appreciated by the family.
Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas was in charge of the arrangements.
