Cash was the son of Cash Thomas Aldridge, Sr. & Mary Holbrook Aldridge. He met with an accident at the circus grounds. After being struck in the head by an elephant, he was rushed to McDowell Memorial Hospital in Danville. Young Mr. Aldridge passed away from the effects of a cerebral hemorrhage.
