The Westerly Sun, July 8: Phyllis (Host) Clachrie, 85, of Greenhaven Road, Pawcatuck, passed away at her home, July 6, 2014. She was the wife of the late Alan B. Clachrie who predeceased her in 1987. Born in Westerly, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Svea Host. Phyllis was the owner and operator of Greenhaven Marina for many years. She was an honorary member of the Greenhaven Sailing Club and enjoyed sewing and yard work. Her greatest passion was spending time with her family. She leaves two children, Stephen Clachrie, and Linda Cowley and her husband Bob, all of Pawcatuck, and her three sisters: Sylvia Case of Arizona; Victoria Henson of California; and twin sister, Patricia Cline Ekonen, of Westerly. She will also be dearly missed by her two grandchildren, Robert Cowley and Samantha Unkuri, both of Pawcatuck. Phyllis was predeceased by three brothers: Richard; Fred; and Peter Host; as well as four sisters: Jeanette; Florence; and Corinne Host; and Arlene Lupinacci. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, from 5-7 p.m., in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A graveside funeral service will take place on Thursday, at 11 a.m., at River Bend Cemetery, 117 Beach St., Westerly. Burial will follow.
