Murl D. Spitze, 71, of 2908 Fondulac Drive died Sunday, Sept. 15, 1991, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Dec. 25, 1919, in Edwardsville to Julius and Bertha Stulken Spitze, he married Elizabeth Engelbrecht on Nov. 12, 1950, in Peoria. She died Dec. 2, 1989, in Peoria. He also was preceded in death by two brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Lila E. Diaz of Peoria and Mrs. Dennis (Meta M.) Binkley of East Peoria.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 41 years, retiring in 1988.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
