Monty and Dorothy worked side by side on the Chesebro Family Farm, rural Monticello. They also owned and operated Chesebro Landscaping for many years. He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Green County Shrine Club, Zor Shrine, 50-year member of the Masons, Monroe Lions Club, Green County Ag Chest, Rock River Thresheree. Monticello, died on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at New
Glarus Home. He was born on July 17, 1920 in Monroe, son of
Kay and Bernice (Binger) Chesebro. Montgomery graduated
from Monticello High School.
Monty and Dorothy Ladwig were married on July 1, 1944 at
the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Monroe, Wisconsin.
Monty and Dorothy worked side by side on the Chesebro
Family Farm, rural Monticello. They also owned and operated
Chesebro Landscaping for many years.
He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, Green
County Shrine Club, Zor Shrine, 50-year member of the
Masons, Monroe Lions Club, Green County Ag Chest, Rock
River Thresheree. Monty and Dorothy were the first family to host the Green County
Breakfast on the Farm.
He is survived by his daughters: Nancy (Robert) Faith of Monroe, Jan (Sylvan) Olson of
Monticello; grandchildren: James (Terry) Faith, Catherine (John) Kehoe, Mark (Dana) Olson,
Jill (Paul) Berg; great-grandchildren: Joel and Natalie Faith, Casey and Dana Kehoe; Molly,
Heidi, Annie and Henry Olson; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, wife, Dorothy, and brother, Mereland.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at Washington Reformation
Church, rural Monticello with Rev. Troy Loether officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood
