Oliver Martin married Hattie Mae Sartin (linked below) on March 5, 1910 in Pope County, Arkansas. Both were listed as residents of Atkins, Arkansas at the time of marriage. The ceremony was performed by W. C. McAlister.

At the time of his World War I Draft Registration Card, Oliver is recorded as living in RFD Atkins, Arkansas in Pope County, Arkansas, where he is employed as a farmer for F.F. Hubbard. He is listed as age 29, married and claims this wife and three children to support. On the accompanying Registrar's Report, dated June 5, 1917, he is described as medium height, medium build, with grey eyes and light hair (indicated as bald). In this and every public document found, Oliver does not have a middle name listed; on the World War II Draft Card (mentioned below), the middle name field actually has the word "none" written in it.

In the 1920 U.S. Census, Oliver is recorded as age 31 and head of household in Welbourne, Conway County, Arkansas with wife Hattie (age 24), and their children: son Erla (Early), age 8; son Elza, age 6; son William, age 3; and daughter Mary, age 2.

The family had relocated by the 1930 U.S. Census, which shows Oliver (as Olive, age 41) as head of household in the Lafayette township (Keo), Lonoke County, Arkansas with wife Hattie (age 34), and their children: son Earlie, age 18; son Elzie, age 16; son William, age 13; daughter Mary, age 12; son Floyd, age 9; son Raymond, age 7; son H. W., age 3; and son Charley, age 0.

By the 1940 U.S. Census, Oliver is recorded as age 52 and head of household in the Eagle township, Pulaski County, Arkansas with wife Hattie Mae (age 45), and their children: son Raymond, age 17; son Hi, age 12; son Charlie, age 10; and son Edward, age 5. Since Charlie's middle name was Edward, it is believed that the "Edward" listed is actually son Oliver Louis Martin, who perished in 1943.

At the time of his World War II Draft Registration Card, Oliver, age 54, was a resident of England, Arkansas (Lonoke County) and was listed as employed by the Bredlow Bros.

After Hattie Mae passed away at the end of 1944, records show that Oliver remarried to the widowed Mrs. Mattie White on February 8, 1945 in Jefferson County, Arkansas. Although Oliver was 56 and Mattie was age 40 on their marriage record, their union produced at least one son, Elton Lee, who is interred at Keo Cemetery like several of Oliver's children with Hattie Mae. Oliver's second wife Mattie's burial location is as yet unknown; upon Oliver's death in 1980, he was laid to rest next to his first wife, Hattie Mae, in Keo Cemetery.
