Canadice, N. Y. - Last Tuesday, Abner Jackman fell from the scaffold over the barn floor, through the stairway to the ground floor, a distance of eighteen feet, striking on his head and shoulders. He was picked up for dead but revived and is getting better.

On the first day of the Hemlock Lake fair last year a son and daughter of Abner Jackman of Canadice drove down to Honeoye, where the East Bloomfield stage came in collision with their carriage. A suit for damages was brought at Naples, which resulted in a non-suit. Another was brought before Justice Winch, which was subsequently withdrawn on account of a flaw in the complaint. Another was brought before Justice Tibbals at Canadice, on Tuesday, and after the jury had been oot all night a verdict of eight dollars damages was awarded.

Canadice, N. Y. - The remains of Abner Jackman, whose death occurred in Geneseo, were brought here for burial on Monday. Mr. Jackman was the son of Josiah and Luva Jackman, who were early settlers of this town, and who accumulated a large fortune. He is survived by his wife and six children, and one brother, A. G. Jackman of Springwater.
