Services for Clara Siverand Thomas, 70, of Galveston, will be 11 a.m. Friday at West Point Baptist Church in Galveston, the Rev. A.L. Curry officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery following services, which are under direction of Lundy Mortuary of Galveston. A wake will be held from 7-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Thomas died Monday at John Sealy Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Garland, La., and was a longtime resident of Galveston. She was a member of the Heroines of Jericho, Pride of the South Court No. 282 and the Ladies Auxiliary of ILA Local No. 851. Survivors include her husband; two brothers, both of California; a sister, of California; and other relatives.
