Glorya Lynn Stokes Telleson, 81, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014 from complications of a stroke.

She was born June 23, 1933 in Ogden, UT to Thomas Wesley Stokes and Edna Latise Jensen Stokes.

She graduated from Ogden High School in 1951. Upon graduation, she entered the Thomas D. Dee Memorial Nursing program and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She began her career at the old Dee Hospital and worked in all areas of the nursing profession for over 40 years.

On June 5, 1953, Glorya married Jay N Telleson in the Logan LDS Temple.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings in the Cedar Crest Ward. One of her most cherished callings was as the Den Mother for her son's Cub Scouts. She loved the people of her ward.

Glorya made her home in Roy for the past 55 years. She enjoyed many friendships with her neighbors during this time and raised three children there. She loved the outdoors and being with her family. Trips up the canyon and to Cub River were some of her favorite times.

Glorya's pride and joy was her family. She is survived by two sons, Douglas Jay (Betsy) Telleson, Huntsville, UT; Scott Nicholi Telleson, Roy; nine grandchildren, Amanda Telleson (Joshua) Jones, Middlebury, Vermont; Derek (Samantha) Telleson, Stuttgart, Germany; Cassandra Telleson (Preston) Costley, Casper, WY; Alexsis Telleson (Steven) Clark, Casper, WY; Amber Engle (Terry Jonathan) Green, Ogden; Alexander James (BreAnne) Buchanan, Ogden; Brandon (Jana) Telleson, Ogden; Ainsley McColley (Hanzel) Rodriguez, Phoenix, AZ; Michael McColley, Huntsville; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Stokes Robinson, Roy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Robert Thomas Telleson and one daughter, Holly Latice Telleson Engle.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
