Obituary:
Richard W Tarkington, 90, passed away 6/27/14 at Life Care Center of Centerville. He was the son of the late, Jim and Bessie Worley Tarkington. He was also preceded by his wives, Maggie Choate Tarkington; Christine Knight Tarkington; and son, Richard Tarkington. He is survived by his son, Randy Tarkington of Nashville; daughters, Carol Victory of Centerville; Karen Rogers of Aetna; sisters, Ruth Shelton of Texas; Brenda Burchard of Centerville; brothers, Tom Tarkington of Columbia; Charlie Tarkington of Nashville; Larry Tarkington of Columbia; Bill Tarkington; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial can be made to the Court House Renovation Fund in Centerville or to the Proverbs 1210 Rescue Organization.
