Mr. McNeal honorably served his country during WW II with the United State Army. He was employed by J.P. Ward Foundry for many years until his retirement.
Surviving are his son Rev. William (Janet) McNeal, York, PA; daughters, Joanne (Robert Graham), Roaring Branch, Cheryl (Ellis) Messner, Williamsport, and Linda McNeal, Tuscaloosa, AL; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Glen (Florence) McNeal, Blossburg; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. McNeal was preceded in death by his first wife Myrtle Elliott; his second wife, Elsie Friends; daughter, Glenda McNeal; granddaughter, Kemi Erway, grandson, Timothy Messner; brother, Willis McNeal Sr.; sisters Erma Wilcox, Emma Owens and Etta Porter.
The family invited friends to call 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, December 12th at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The funeral and committal service will follow at 11 a.m. with his son, the Rev. William McNeal, officiating. A private burial will be held in the Grover Cemetery. The family will provide flowers and suggests memorials be directed to the Kemi fund, c/o Camp Victory, PO Box 810, Millville, PA in Lester McNeal's loving memory.
