Mrs. Elma Dimmitt, 83, of Rt.
2, Monticello died Tuesday of
last week in White County
Memorial Hospital where she
had been a patient four days. She
had been ill several months.
Born July 26, 1891, in White
County, she was the daughter of
John and Phoebe Edgerly Roach.
Her marriage Jan. 31, 1912, was
to Orris Dimmitt. She had lived
in Jefferson Township since 1918.
Surviving with the husband are
a son, Francis, Rt. 1, Monticello;
two grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren,
and one greatgreat-
grandchild.
Final rites were Friday at
Hickory Grove United Church of
Christ where she was a member.
The Rev. John Fleming officiated
and interment was in Hickory
Grove cemetery in Jefferson
Township.
