Cloeteele Earley Tanner, 72, of Spanish Fork and Phoenix, Arizona, died Sunday, November 29, 1992 in Phoenix, Arizona after a lingering illness.

She was born on November 27, 1921 in Providence, Utah, the daughter of Geremiah Earley and Violet Bardella Daniels Earley. She married Joseph V. Tanner on June 25, 1940 in Nephi, Utah.

She attended schools in Lake Town, Salem, and Springville. She worked for many years at LaMars Cafe in Springville. She was a member of the LDS Church and served as Cub Scout leader for many years. She was a member of the Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking, art, and ceramics.

Her survivors include her husband of Spanish Fork; children: Mrs. Dick (Shirley) Clyde, Woods Cross; Mrs. David (Carol) Anderson, Roy: Douglas Tanner, Reno, Nevada; Dennis Tanner, Lake Havasu, Arizona; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother: Mrs. Delwin Curtis (Vonda) Jolley, Washington; Evelyn Kinsey, Provo; Mrs. Nida Christensen, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Dale (Geraldine) Black, Payson; Ferris Earley, Colorado.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 5, 1992 at 11 a.m. in the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork. Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday, from 6-8 p.m. or Saturday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salem City Cemetery.
