MRS. JULIA KAGLER DIES AT ADVANCED AGE
Was Mother of Ex - Police Chief
Mrs. Julia Yarrington Kagler, widow of the late Adam Kagler and mother of Harry Kagler, former Carbondale chief of police, died at her home, on Wayne street, yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. Mrs. Kagler , who was one of this city's oldest residents was 83 years of age.
Mrs. Kagler was born in Dundaff and came to this city , when thirteen years old. She was a devout communicant of , St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Besides her san [sic], Harry, she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harry MacMulIen, of Scranton; her sister, Mr Christopher Schultz, of Park street, who is 93 years, of age, and one grandchild.
The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon: Services will be held at her home at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Vernon B. Yeich, pastor of St. Paul's Church, officiating. Interment will be made in the Maplewood Cemetery.
