Elizabeth Drew Weaver

MINDEN, LA - - Memorial services for Elizabeth Drew Weaver, 53, will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 16, 1996, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Minden, with burial to follow in the Old Minden Cemetery. Officiating will be Father William R. Bryant. Visitation will be Monday evening at Rose-Neath funeral home, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

A Webster Parish realtor, Ms. Weaver was born December 27, 1942, in Minden. She was predeceased by her parents, Judge R. Harmon Drew, Sr. and Margaret Elam Drew.

She died of meningitis on Sunday, January 14, 1996, in the Intensive Care Unit of LSU Medical Center, after receiving 15 days of compassionate and competent care.

She is survived by her husband, Harold J. Weaver; her children, Robert Drew White and Julia Caldwell White, her step-son, James Harold Weaver, and his wife, Constance Berry Weaver, her sister, Caldwell Drew Colvin, and brother-in-law, James Wiley Colvin, her brother, Judge Harmon Drew, Jr. and sister-in-law, Jean Talley Drew, and her step-sister, Sue Powell Kincaid and her husband, Colonel James Kincaid, USAF (Ret.). She leaves three nephews, James Malcolm Colvin, John Harmon Colvin, and Richard Harmon Drew, III, and two nieces: Georgia Gentry Drew and Susan Lee Fite. She also leaves behind a beloved special friend, Lillie Mae Shine Dorch.

Beth graduated from Minden High School in 1960, and received her B.A. from L.S.U.-Baton Rouge in 1964. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Social Sorority. She was the president of Minden Green, a Charter Member of the Minden-Dorcheat Historical Society, a member of the Minden Garden Club, Minden Beautification Council and an associate member of the Junior Service League of Minden. In 1975, she was honored by the Minden Jaycees as Minden's Young Woman of the Year. She was a member of the Women's Department Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Beth was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.

Pallbearers: Joe Hinton, Larry Cunningham, Todd Sewell, Chris Kirkley, Dr. Richard H. Campbell, Rodney McMichael, Bobby Ashley and Sherburne Sentell.

Honorary Pallbearers: David Williams, Warren Dietrich, Leon Walker, Scott Walker, Proctor McInnis and Carleton Prothro.

The family respectfully requests that any memorials be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, Minden, La., or to the Webster Parish Library.
