Mrs. Elizabeth Highsmith Brown, age 91, died Monday, June 23, 2014 at her home after a long illness.

Mrs. Brown was born June 9, 1923 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of the late William Adrian Highsmith and Jane Marsh Hollins. She was a U.S. Army Veteran and met her husband at the NCO club in Baltimore MD. After marriage and living in Baltimore for five years, she moved to SC where she resided for 40 years. Mrs. Brown had a ceramic shop in Chesterfield, SC and was very active in the Zoar United Methodist Church. Elizabeth loved to travel, cared deeply for her friends, and loved her little yorkie named "Snoopie". In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her husband Bill Brown.

Surviving are a Cousin, Joan Sterner of Perry Hall, MD.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in the Zoar United Methodist Church Cemetery.
