He was a member of the Lake Street Church in Chesterfield.
Jerry is survived by his loving spouse whom he married in 1953, Carol (Hoffman) Alford; daughters, Teresa Spangler-Everhart of Alexandria, and Cindy Alford of Anderson; grandchildren, Anthony Dale (Leanne) Alford, Kris Kuklenski, Melissa Riddle, Rachel Stringfield, Kyla Allen, Jessica Moore and Sarah Beth Strange; 5 great-grandsons; 1 special great-grandson, Jerry Dale Alford; 9 great-granddaughters; 1great-great granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mary Adams and Nancy Dadlow; and 3 brothers-in-law, Steve (Phylis) Hoffman, Jon (Norma) Hoffman and Don (Diane) Hoffman.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Strange; parents, John Alford & Alta (Henry) Alford; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
