Jerry Dale Alford, 81, of Anderson, passed away on June 23, 2014 at the Community Hospital Anderson, IN. He was born on August 2, 1932, in Anderson, Indiana and resided all of his life in Anderson.

He was a retired truck driver for Delco Remy. Jerry served his country in US Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of the Lake Street Church in Chesterfield.

Jerry is survived by his loving spouse whom he married in 1953, Carol (Hoffman) Alford; daughters, Teresa Spangler-Everhart of Alexandria, and Cindy Alford of Anderson; grandchildren, Anthony Dale (Leanne) Alford, Kris Kuklenski, Melissa Riddle, Rachel Stringfield, Kyla Allen, Jessica Moore and Sarah Beth Strange; 5 great-grandsons; 1 special great-grandson, Jerry Dale Alford; 9 great-granddaughters; 1great-great granddaughter; 2 sisters, Mary Adams and Nancy Dadlow; and 3 brothers-in-law, Steve (Phylis) Hoffman, Jon (Norma) Hoffman and Don (Diane) Hoffman.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Strange; parents, John Alford & Alta (Henry) Alford; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.
