Ford Thomas Rose
Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and most devoted husband returned to his Father in Heaven, with his loving family at his bedside, at his home in Salt Lake City, October 12, 1996, after a long illness. Born April 7, 1912 in Providence, Utah to Ora Lillis Thorpe and Thomas Floyd Rose. He grew up in Logan, Utah. It was at BYU where he met his eternal companion, Beulah Hinckley. They were married on June 30, 1938 by President Heber J. Grant in the Salt Lake Temple. They became the parents of ten children, five boys, and five girls. They spent 58 wonderful, happy years together.
He is survived by his wife and his ten children: Priscilla (Dr. Richard C. Crockett), Ford Thomas Rose II (Kathy), Robert Floyd Rose, Kathleen (Marvin R. Jensen), Marie George (Christopher M. Atkins), Darlene (Ralph J. Rich), Jeanine (G. Merrill Dodge), Kenneth Hinckley Rose (Diane), Wallace Hinckley Rose (Valinda), Lyman Hinckley Rose (Lesa).
