THOMAS FLOYD ROSE
SALT LAKE CITY - Funeral services for Thomas Floyd Rose, 84, of Salt Lake City, who died Tuesday at his home, will be Monday at noon at the Hall Mortuary, Logan.
He was the father of Mrs. Glen (Ora) Pyper, Springville.
Mr. Rose was born Nov. 20, 1888 in Hyrum, Cache County, to Thomas John Peter and Elizabeth Williams Rose. He married Lillis Thorpe on April 26, 1911 in the Logan LDS Temple, and they later were divorced.
On July 3, 1942 he married Emma M. Houde in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He served a mission in the eastern states and sang in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Mr. Rose was a salesman for J.G. McDonald Candy Co. and had managed the Logan Republican newspaper.
Survivors include his widow, one son and one daughter, Ford T. Rose,, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Pyper, Springville; a stepson, Donald Houde, Boise, Ida.; one brother and one sister, DeWayne Rose, Ely, Nev., and Mrs. Robert (Ellen) Fitts, Burbank, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Hall Mortuary, Logan, Sunday from 7 to 9 p. m. and Monday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Logan Cemetery.
