Mrs. W. T. Miller Died In Dallas Last Friday
Mrs. Emeline Miller, wife of W. T. Miller, died at the family home at 3815 Hamilton ave., Dallas, Friday afternnon, April 16, at 1:52 o'clock.
Mrs. Miller, whose maiden name was Francis Emeline Barton, was born in Henry county, Tenn., March 3, 1954, and was married to W. T. Miller on Jan. 1, 1871. Of this union eleven children were born, six sons and five daughters. of the children, seven are still living.
They came to Texas many years ago and for a long time were residents of the Lawson community. Four or five years ago they moved to Jackson county, and after living there about three years, moved to Dallas, which had since been their home.
Mrs. Miller joined the Presbyterian church at mesquite in 1883 and lived a consecrated Christain life.
Surviving her husband and the following children: L. Z. Miller and Walter Miller and Mrs. J. C. Humphries of Lawson, Wes Miller of Justin, Mrs Perry Lemaster of Mesquite, Mrs. J. W. Allen of Dallas, and mrs. Frank Adkins of Seagoville. There are forty nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a brother who lives in dallas and a sister in Oklahoma.
Interment took place at Long Creek cemetery Saturday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock, funeral services being conducted by Rev. Edgar Hubbard. The funeral was largely attended, as Mrs. Miller was held in high esteem throughout this section.
