She was born in Horatio, Arkansas, and married George in 1953. They moved to Dallas, Texas, then to Mesquite, Texas, and to Salem in 1989. She retired from Kmart in 1989.
She was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association in Portland and enjoyed traveling and dogs. She was a member of Open Gate Nazarene Church.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Sandra Daniel of Salem; son, Dennis of Keizer; and sisters, Earlene Winkfien of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Vida Traywick of Louisiana.
Visiting will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Virgil T. Golden Chapel. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Belcrest Memorial Park.
