Would you please add the following, as I am unable to locate the burial locations of his parents to create memorials to link:

Benjamin was the son of Thomas Nields (abt 1800-1852), a wheelwright in East Marlborough, Pennsylvania and Eliza Roberts (1802-1835). His father's second wife Orpha Logan (abt 1803-1887) was the mother of his surviving siblings.

He served in the United States Army during the Civil War. He was first a lieutenant with Company E of the 1st Regiment of the Delaware Infantry. After being promoted to captain, he served as leader of Nield's Independent Battery of the Delaware Light Infantry.

He became an attorney after the war. He married Gertrude Wyoming Fulton of Philadelphia on July 1 1867 in Delaware. They were the parents of the following known children:

1-John Percy Nields (1868-1943) married Mary Blanchard Craven
2-Arthur Nields (1871-1871)
3-Greta Nields (1872-1934) married J. Monteith Jackson
4-Elizabeth Nields (1876-1948 PA) married Wilfred Bancroft
5-James Fulton Nields (1878-1951) married and divorced
6-Benjamin Nields, Jr. (Jan 1882-1945 OH) married Hazel Cooper Whitelaw
