Aged Lady Laid to Rest
Mrs J Dalluge Sr passed away last Saturday afternoon July 8th at her home in the village after a long and painful illness. Death was due to cancer which several months ago had deprived her of sight and caused her untold sufferings through she received the best of care at the hands of relatives and friends. Wilhelmina Rathke was born at Ernovitz, Province of Pommern, Germany, on Feb 15 1836, and was there married to Wm. Tresmer, who died several years after the family came to America in 1882. Their home was made near St. Peter and four children were born to them one of whom a daughter was last heard from in Kansas many years ago. The others are as follows: a son Aug. Tresmer of Madelia, and two daughters, Mrs Wm. Schmitt of Madelia and Mrs Wm. Falls of St. Paul.
In 1902 she was married to Mr Julius Dalluge Sr of this place who survives her.
The funeral was held at the St John's German Lutheran church at this place Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery here.
