GRACIE BUSH DIES MARCH 2
Gracie Bush, 77, widow of William Courtney Bush, of Campton and formerly of the Trent community, died Thursday, March 2 at the Morgan County Appalachian Regional Hospital, West Liberty after an extended illness.
Mrs. Bush, a native of Powell County, was the daughter of the late Venson and Lillie Puckett Burse. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are two sons, William Bush of Canton, Ohio, James Bush of Bayton, Ohio; nine daughters, Mrs. Pearl Matthews of McDurrmet, Ohio, Mrs. Bess Phillips, Mrs. Hazel Linkous and Mrs. Betty Mayabb all of Campton, Mrs. Viola Wilson of West Milton, Ohio, Mrs. Fern McCoy of Catlettsburg, Mrs. Alice Ball of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Dorothy Elam and Mrs. Mabelene Barker both of West Liberty; one brother, Hershell Moore of Piqua, Ohio; four sister, Mrs. Bessie Buchanan, Mrs. Corene Brown, Mrs. Merna Howard and Mrs. Hazel Powers; 38 grandchildren and a large number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Mar 5 at the Porter and Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Brewer officiating. Burial was in the Bush family cemetery at Trent in Wolfe County with Porter and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
