Rita Allen YORK - Mrs. Rita H. Allen, 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Piedmont Medical Center. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Grandview Memorial Park on Hollis Lakes Road. Born in Elkhart Lake, Wis., Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Cyrillus Michael Heim and the late Sophia K. Heim. She was retired from Winthrop University and was of the Catholic faith. She was a very talented artist and an animal lover. She was a devoted and wonderful wife and mother. Surviving are her husband, Raeford S. Allen; her sons, Michael R. Allen (Karen) and Daniel J. Allen, both of York; her daughters, Julianne A. Christopher (Freddie) of Great Falls and Annette A. Feemster (Doug) of Rock Hill; her brother, John J. Heim (Carolyn) of Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, David M. Allen (Melissa), Daniel P. Allen (Chrissy), Allen Feemster and Missy Hendrix (Robert); and her great-granddaughter, Sophia G. Hendrix. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
