Rudolph “Rudy” Fuhrman, 81
April 22, 1915 ~ July 3, 1996
Rudolph Fuhrman was born April 22, 1915, in rural Fort Calhoun to Henry and Albertina (Labs) Fuhrman.
He grew up and lived in the Fort Calhoun area until entering the Army during World War II. He served in the Army from October of 1941 until July of 1943.
He married Veronica A. Schroeder January 25, 1944, in Blair.
They lived in Blair 10 years before moving to a farm west of town where they lived for 24 years. They then moved to Herman where they had resided for 17 years.
Besides farming, he did construction work in the Blair area for over 40 years.
He was a member of the Herman American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica A. of Herman; four sisters-in-law, Marian Schroeder, Veronica H. Fuhrman, Vivi Fuhrman and Lavenna Fuhrman and several nieces and nephews.
