Elizabeth Rose Tomenelli Cascio, 95, died Thursday, March 6, 1997 in P.A. Peterson Home, Rockford. Known as "Rose" or "Betty", she was born March 2, 1902, in Donaldsonville, La., to Agostino and Nunzia Tumminello. She lived in Rockford for 80 years and was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph B., three brothers and six sisters.

Her survivors include son, Basil J. and his wife, Kaye, of Redmond, Va.; two grandsons, Marc and his wife Lorrie and their children, Sam and Rachel of Sandy, Utah, and Jay and his wife, Karen and their children, Lauren and Eric of Seattle, Wash; granddaughter, Dana and her husband, Sam Fogerty and daughter, Erin of Lakewood, Wash.; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Luke, pastor, officiating. Visitation will precede the Mass, with a reception after the service. Graveside services will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation to St. Anthony Catholic Church. Arrangements by Gasparini & Oliveri Funeral Home, 707 Marchesano Drive.
