Frank Rifkin, 95, formerly of 204 LaFayette Road, died Tuesday at the Jewish Home of Central New York.
A native of Russia, Mr. Rifkin resided most of his life in Syracuse. He retired in 1965 as owner of Rifkin's Beauty Salon, which he founded in 1929.
Mr. Rifkin was a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun, B'nai B'rith, Joshua Lodge of the Knights of Pythias and Philo-Mt. Sinai Masonic Lodge. He was a former president of the New York State Hairdressers' Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Rubenstein; a daughter, Dianne Kirshtein of New Hartford; a brother, Irving of Syracuse; two grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Frumah Packard Cemetery, Rabbi Charles S. Sherman officiating.
