Visitation 1 pm, and funeral service 2 pm, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Rose Hill United Methodist Church in Rose Hill, NC with entombment service following in Devotional Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Warsaw, NC. Survived by daughters Terry Dixon of Warsaw, Jeanne and husband Steve Mintz of Carolina Beach, Barbara S. and husband Roger Bonney of Raleigh. Grandsons James Dixon, Jr, and Jeffery Dixon. Granddaughter Jennipher and husband Roger Edwards. Great granddaughter Elizabeth Edwards Step grandchildren Kim Kanalas, Jenny Horne and husbands and step great granddaughter Caitlin Edwards. Preceded in death by first husband Liston Summerlin, second husband Marcus Horne, sister Velma Scott, brother Elton Proctor, and parents, Benjamin and Ila Proctor.
