Richard Campagna, age 81, of Kenosha died at his residence on Friday, August 24, 2007 after fighting to stay with family and friends. Surrounded by family, Dick passed on and will now be as much a part of the life he loved in spirit as he was in life.

On August 7, 1948 Richard Campagna married his true love, Jeanne Wettengel. They were married at St. Mary Catholic Church. They just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary and were blessed to raise four wonderful children.

He owned and operated Wettengel-Campagna Office Machines, Inc. for 60 years where many local businesses and home-office operators visited. He had a wonderful knack for keeping older equipment running smooth - not to mention his availability to acquire hard-to-find parts and supplies. He was honored by the Italian American Society with the Italian Businessman of the Year Award.

Left to remember him are his wife Jeanne; two daughters, Mary (Bill) Grube of Burlington, Lori (Thomas III) Laken of Kenosha, and Rick Campagna of Milwaukee; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter (Virginia) Campagna of Kenosha; a sister, Angeline Hegyera of Kenosha; and countless friends, renters and business customers.

Along with his parents, Dick was sadly preceded in death by his son John Campagna, Sr.; a brother Casimir Campagna; and a sister Nancy Tarsitano.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 9:15 AM from the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224 - 45th Street. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery, A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
