Attended and graduated from Holdrege High School in 1941. Worked at Sehnert's Bakery in Holdrege. Attended and was baptized at the Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege. Married to Clifford Backencamp, to this union two daughters were born, Beverly and Sheryl. Later the family moved to Lincoln. Employed at Bethany Home Bake Shop and Cafe. Later employed at Hinky Dinky and SunMart Grocery Stores in the bakery departments.
