MARENGO -- Lillian Brandenborg, 86, died Monday, Oct. 31, 1994, at her home.
She was born Jan. 20, 1908, in Porter County, Ind., to Edward and Mae (Beaman) Smith. In September of 1960, she married Svend Brandenborg in River Grove.
Mrs. Brandenberg is survived by her husband and a son, Lyle Elyea, both of Marengo; four grandchildren, Mark Elyea of Capron, Romona Elyea of Albany, Wis., Cari Elyea of LeRoy and Loren Elyea of Belvidere; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a stepson, Ralph Brandenborg; and three stepgrandchildren, James, Amy and Steven Brandenborg, all of South Bend, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ira Orr Elyea; three sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home, the Rev. Steve May officiating. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Marengo.
