Eldor K. Piepenburg, 68, of 160 Main St., Potter, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 13, 1989, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton.
He was born Sept. 28, 1921, in the town of Rantoul, son of the late Leonard and Elvera (Krueger) Piepenburg. He married Hazel Schmidt on Oct. 15, 1942. He and his wife farmed in the town of Rantoul until 1963 when they moved to Potter. He then worked at Chilton Trailer Company and Brillion Iron Works, retiring in June of 1986. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its choir in rural Hilbert, a former Trinity Lutheran School board member and served on the church's Finance Committee. He was also a member of the Potter Volunteer Fire Department for several years.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Robert Nolan Jr., New Holstein; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Berdine Piepenburg, Hilbert; and Daniel and Lori Piepenburg, rural Brillion; six grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Kenneth Olm, Kiel; one brother and sister-in-law, Merlin and Rose Piepenburg, Sun City, AZ; and three brothers-in-law and their wives, Gordon and Lilly Schmidt, Brillion; Merlin and Evelyn Schmidt, rural Chilton; and Robert Schmidt, North Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Hilbert, the Rev. Ferdinand Timler officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
