Mark A. Bevenour, 69, of 14 N. Oxford Ave., McSherrystown, died at the Hanover Hospital Wednesday afternoon. He had been a patient in the hospital for six days.

A native of Adams County, he was a son of the late Jospeh L. and Emma (Lawrence) Bevenour. His wife, the former Ellen Heffren, died in 1964. He was a retired member of the Philadelphia police department, and also was retired from the staff of Franklin Institute.

He was a member of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, McSherrystown, and of the McSherrystown Home Association.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. George Boraski, 228 Worrior Rd., Drexel Hill; four grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters; Linus J. Bevenour, 16 W. High St., New Oxford; Lawrence C. Bevenour, 118 N. Peter St., New Oxford; Mrs. Pauline Felty and Miss Marian N. Bevenour, who had resided with him at 14 N. Oxford Ave., McSherrystown, and Mrs. Esther Becker, 139 Walnut St., Spring Grove.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning with meeting at the Hicks Funeral Home, McSherrystown at 10:30 o’clock to go to Annunciation Church for the Mass of the Ressurection at 11 o’clock, with Rev. Fr. John Lance, assistant pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, New Oxford. Friends may call Friday evening at the funeral home in McSherrystown with the Rosary to be recited there at 8 o’clock.
