Elmer E. Ellis Van Dyne, Wis. Age 71, died Monday at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh at 7:25 p.m. after an extended illness.

He was born June 4, 1904 in Oshkosh. He was employed by Rockwell Standard for 25 years and he had farmed outside of Neenah for 30 years. Mr. Ellis was the son of the late John and Mary Ellis. He married Marie Lehl July 20, 1931 in Oshkosh. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Town of Nikimi, and was a member of the 25 Year Club of Rockwell Standard.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, Elmer J. of Reeseville, Wisconsin, Donald R. of Neenah, and Robert H. of Oshkosh; two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Rose) Ruedinger and Miss Maryann, both of Van Dyne; a brother, Gordon of Oshkosh; and 14 grandchildren.

The funeral will be at St. John Lutheran Church, Town of Nikimi, Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Raymond Poff officiating. Interment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh. Friends may call at the Konrad Funeral Home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday and at the church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
