AUSTIN -- The funeral for Vera L. Davidson was today at First United Methodist Church in Austin with the Rev. Patricia M. Toschak officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
Mrs. Davidson, 96, a longtime Austin resident, died Friday (July 24, 1998) at Austin Medical Center. She had been residing at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.
Vera L. Snyder was born Dec. 18, 1901, in Storm Lake, Iowa, and attended Storm Lake schools. She married Everett L. Davidson on Nov. 29, 1926, in Storm Lake. Mrs. Davidson was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Forever Young Club and Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one daughter, Lorraine (Mrs. George) Hovland of Austin; one son, Gary of Austin; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, John Snyder of Sioux Rapids, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and one daughter.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin was in charge of arrangements.
