Jane Radden Hesson Ellis was first married to John Hesson. Her second husband was James Ellis whom she married in Belmont County, Ohio on Oct 19, 1822. One of her sons, James Hesson, is also buried in the Hesson Family Cemetery.

Another of Jane's sons was, John Hesson.

The WV death record for Martha Hesson Lamp, wife of Joseph Lamp, states she was born at Juanitha River and is the daughter of John and Jane Hesen.

1800 Census, Derry Township, Mifflin County, PA lists a John Hasson. He and his wife are aged 26-45, with 1 male 0-10 and 2 females 0-10. Quite possibly John and Jane Hesson with children James, Martha & Margaret. The Juniata River flows through Mifflin County and actually comprises the southern border of Derry Township. In 1831 Juniata County was formed from part of Mifflin County.

1820 Census, Belmont County, Goshen Township, OH lists Jane Hesson as the head of household with several children. The probable children living with her are:
2 males under 10 [Samuel & John]
1 male 10-16 [William]
1 female under 10 [Elizabeth]
2 females 10-16 [Abbie & Jane]
1 female 16-26 [Margaret]

Also listed as heads of household in 1820 Goshen Township are her son, James Hesson, as well as her son-in-law, Joseph Lamp, who is married to her daughter, Martha.
