Marguerite married C. Lee Shaw, the son of Ben Arthur Shaw and Virginia Lee Moon, on 14 April 1921 or 1923 in Elkhorn, Walworth County, Wisconsin. Marguerite and Lee were the parents of one child known, a daughter Barbara Lee, who died in infancy ~

Marguerite was the daughter of Harry Cocroft and Georgia Catherine Moon. Marguerite's mother Georgia Moon Cocroft, died shortly after Marguerite's birth. Marguerite had two older brothers' Lloyd Everett and Glen Earl. At some point in time, while Marguerite was still an infant, her father, Harry Cocroft, gave her up for adoption, her adoptive parents were Elmer and Frances Cowles, of Elkhorn, Walworth County, Wisconsin. This is all our family knows for certain, about Marguerite's adoption, we do not know if Marguerite was ever told she was adopted. We do know that Harry Cocroft re-married and in Harry Cocroft's obituary his daughter Marguerite is not acknowledged nor was she acknowledged in later years in her brother Glen Cocroft's obituary ~
