Mrs. Eliza T. Tukesbrey, aged 74 years, died at the home of her sister, Mrs Lucy Renner, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4, Wednesday afternoon, May 31, 1944, at one o'clock.

She was born in the state of Iowa, November 24, 1869, the daughter of the late Richard and Charlotte Temple Thralls. She was the widow of the late John R. Tukesbrey, who died in 1941.

Mrs. Tukesbrey spent most of her life in Greene County and was a member of the Blacksville Baptist Church. For the past thirty years she had served as a Sunday School teacher in various churches throughout the county.

Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lucy Renner, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4; Mrs. Rocella Hunnell, of Spraggs; Capt. Francis Thralls, of Miami, Fla.; Major Ernest Thralls, of Spraggs. Both Capt. Thralls and Major Thralls are retired Army officers. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
