REXBURG - Charles Denton Moulton, 77, a retired sheepman, died Tuesday morning, in a local hospital, following a lingering illness.
He was born April 15, 1881 at Heber City, Utah, the son of Charles Alma and Rhoda Francis Duke Moulton. He came with his family to the Teton Basin in the summer of 1885 where his father homesteaded. He married Jessie Arnold on August 1, 1923 at Rexburg. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was engaged in the sheep business for many years in Teton and Rexburg. Since his retirement a few years ago he has resided on a small farm in Thornton. Mr. Moulton was a high priest in the LDS Church.
Survivors include his wife and four children: Mrs. Ardean (Rhoda) Bench of Provo, Utah; Mrs. Ray B. (Nola) Munns of Camas, Mrs. Wallace (Mary) Hanson of Lewisville, and Eldon Moulton of Thornton; six grandchildren; the following brothers and sisters: Thomas Alma Moulton of Shelley, John A. Moulton of Jackson, Wyoming, J. Wallace Moulton of Merced, California, Rhoda M. Furniss of Driggs, Mrs. E. A. Anna Rasmussen and L. Manilla Moulton, both of Rexburg, William Floyd Moulton and Ernest R. Moulton, both of Victor; and he was preceded in death by one sister.
