Clinton M Greer, aged 92, a retired civil engineer and a former chairman of the Pulaski County Planning Board, died Saturday.
He had served on the County planning Board from 1962 to 1976, including four years as chairman. Mr Greer also had served on the Little Rock Planning Commission. He had lived in Little Rock since 1937.
He was a graduate of the University of Iowa, and had worked mainly on bridge design until 1932, when he went to work for the Army Engineers. He retired in 1960 as chief of design of dams and other navigation projects.
Mr Greer was a lifelong member of Sigma Xi, the national honorary scientific fraternity, and a member of the American Legion, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers, the Little Rock Engineers Club, the Retired Men's Discussion Club and First Christian Church. He was a veteran of World War II [sic]
Survivors are a son, Donald C Greer of Little Rock and two grandchildren.

William A Greer was born in Barren County, Kentucky. At the age of 15 he moved to Montgomery County, Illinois. In 1874 he moved to Marion County, Iowa and in 1866 to Wayne County Iowa, where he lived until his death. He married Elzira Webb on November 5, 1840. To this union were born five sons and five daughters, whose names are:
William B, Cynthia A, Nancy Jane, John W, James H, Wilkin Webb, Sarah Luzena, Mary Etta, Franklin S, Emma R.
