Mrs. Burgess died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004. Born in Greer, S.C., she was the wife of the late Jeff Burgess and the daughter of the late James William and Lena Creamer Austin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Wayne Damron of Lexington; grandchild and spouse, Steve and Teresa Damron of Woodstock, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Phillip and Patricia Damron of Woodstock, Ga.; grandchild and spouse, Rick and Carolin Damron of Milford, N.H.; great-grandchildren, Emily and Austin Damron of Milford, N.H.; sister, Connie Sipe of Conover, N.C.; and brother, Bill Austin of Greer.
She was predeceased by a sister, Katherine; and brothers, Harrison, Marshall, Ralph and Fred. The family wishes to thank the staff of Intermedical Hospital and Drs. March Seabrook, Anthony Elkins, and William Korman.
