A funeral for Marjorie P. Stewart of Bellingham will be at 11 am Thursday at Greenacres Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Poulson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Mrs. Stewart died Saturday, Jan 22, 2000 at Highland Convalescent Center. She was 89.
She was born June 19, 1910 to Harry and Adelia Osborne Maxwell in Avon and was a lifelong Whatcom County resident.
She married Lester W. Stewart on Nov 25, 1929. He died in 1979. She enjoyed camping, gardening and taking walks.
Survivors include son Duane L. Stewart of Bellingham; daughter Judy Hatfield of Ferndale; sisters Ruth Corbitt and Kay Maxwell, both of Bellingham, and Anita Alley of San Diego; brothers Harold Maxwell and Chuck Adams, both of Bellingham, and Paul Maxwell of Federal Way; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.
