Services for Leon Blackmon, age 84, will be Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Mercer Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Monday, May 12th at 9:30 a.m., at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN.Mr. Blackmon died Monday, May 5, 2014 at Jackson General Hospital. Visitation for Mr. Blackmon will begin Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. The remains of Mr. Blackmon will lie in state at Mercer Brothers Funeral Home Sunday from 12 Noon until time of service.Mercer Brothers Funeral Home, (731) 723-4922.
