Bea was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on September 8, 1910, the daughter of the late John and Rosa Bales Flowers. On July 20, 1938 she was united in marriage to George Wilson Garrison in Akron, Ohio.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Carmi and was also active in her work with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and The American Legion Auxilary.

Besides her husband, George Wilson Garrison of Carmi, she is survived by four brothers, Herbert Flowers, Detroit, Michigan; William Flowers and Jack Flowers, both of Akron, Ohio and Theron Flowers of Painesville, Ohio; one sister, Hunnia Mason of Detroit, Michigan.
