"MARTHA A. WOODS--Nee McDaniel was born July 10th, 1854, and departed this life February 9th, 1900, aged 46 years, 6 months and 27 days.
In 1874 she was married to Aaron Wamer, this union was blessed with 2 sons--George and Rias. In 1878 she was left a widow, and in 1880 she was married to Benjamin Woods. To this union were born 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters, 2 sons and 1 daughter having gone on before mother.
A husband, 6 sons and 1 daughter, and many friends mourn the loss of a loved but absent one; but we know our loss is her gain. A day or so before her departure, while in conversation with a friend she said, 'I am ready to go.' We have no doubt but what she is now rejoicing with Jesus and the angels. The subject of our sketch was converted when but a little girl, being 18 years old. She joined the M.E. church in 1864, and in 1894 she joined the U.B. church at Gibisonville. She bore her afflictions without murmur or complaint. Her funeral was preached at the U.B. church, February 11th, by Rev. J.C. McLaughlin, assisted by Rev. Baker of the M.E. church after which the remains were laid in the Mount Olive cemetery to await the coming of our Lord."
