Myrtle Hamm, 81 of Pineville passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Raleigh General Hospital. Born September 7, 1934 at Keyrock, she was the daughter of the late, William Adkins (1906-1955) and Susie Beverly-Adkins (1907-1969). Mrs. Hamm was a member of Wyoming County React, loved to bowl and was a member of numerous bowling leagues.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Hamm (1927-1997) whom she married on February 2, 1952 in Baileysville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1952, Page 458, Application Date: January 17, 1952); a grandson, Chris G. McCoy (Deceased); brothers and sisters, Estel Adkins (1938-2009), Ott Adkins (Deceased), Helen Kay Adkins-Tolliver (1951-2010), Cleve Adkins (1931-1973), Jess Adkins (Deceased), Corba Ann Adkins-Morgan (1935-1967), Johnny Adkins (Deceased) and an infant sibling (Deceased).
Survivors include her sons, Edward Nelson (Joe) Hamm and Andrew Lee Hamm; daughters, Linda Lou Hamm-McCoy and Loretta Lynn Hamm-Brooks; brothers, Tommy Adkins and Roger Adkins; Lucille Adkins and Virgie Adkins-England; grandchildren, Brian, Veronica, Tammy, Kayla, Lucas, Jullian, Joey, Amanda and Willie; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jack, Tyler, Taylor M., Quincy, Brandon, Warren, Willa, Taylor A., Erin and Jacob.
A celebration of Myrtle’s life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Cecil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowers Cemetery, Twin Falls.
