She was born Dec.18, 1919, in Thompsonville, to the late John "Oakley" and Mary Ellen Lager.
She married Floyd D. Braden on April 5, 1941, in Palmyra, Mo., and they enjoyed 67 years together before Floyd died on Dec. 11, 2008.
Mrs. Braden retired from Soss Manufacturing Company. She was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Thompsonville, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, working crossword puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Donald Braden of Tigard, Ore.; a daughter, Judy (Jim) Armstrong of Kimball; two grandchildren, Timothy Armstrong of New Baltimore and Michael (Alejandra) Armstrong of Houston, Texas; a great granddaughter, Gabrielle Marie Armstrong; a nephew, Ed (Pat) Lager of Atlanta, Ga.; and a close family friend, James Wetter of Marysville.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raleigh "Gene" (Lorene) Lager and Dale Oakley (Edith) Lager.
Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville, Mich.
